| Where Can I Build? |
You may not build in the event world (Crownlands), other home servers (unless allied in a claim, read below), or permanently in the resource world (Outlands - just note this world is cleared!).
You are permitted to build anywhere in the wilderness on your home server as long as you are a suitable distance away from other players and server builds. You must be at least 1000 blocks away from any server build (further is better). The bare minimum is 12 chunks away from other claims/buildings (belonging to players for example), you may still be asked to move if your property was there after another player (regardless of distance in between) if that player wants to expand. You may build with friends or other players, however please note that you may only house a maximum of 16 (by default) animals of each type per 12 chunk radius, with an exception to horses as their cap is 25. This means a maximum of 16 pigs, 16 cows, etc within a 12 chunk radius from their location. Additional animals may be housed at least 12 chunks away. Combined storage is allowed if chests are clearly labelled with usernames to avoid staff flagging for over-storage. |

| Can I build in different home servers? |
You are not permitted to claim land on servers other than your main home server.
You may not store animals, horses, or items across servers unless you are using a certified facility for boarding or breeding (for example, dropping off genetic animals for breeding, breeding horses, or boarding horses across servers).
You are permitted up to two homes on other servers for these purposes, or to build and play with friends or allied players.
If a player adds you to their party, or allies with your party, you may build on their claims with their permission. This is intended to allow players to play with friends, assist allied players/parties, or complete player jobs (such as building projects) across servers.
You may NOT have multiple homes across servers, or store animals anywhere other than at a certified facility with the intention of them being used at that facility.

| Can I build with my friend(s)? |
You can! However please note it's a maximum (by default) of 16 animals of each type within a 12 chunk radius (25 for horses!). We advise spreading your animals/claims/properties out in order to not overlap on your caps! Animals stored via Mob Capturing Tool (or other storage devices) need to be clearly labelled with each player's username due to our mob caps.
If you are specifically wanting to play on the same home server as a friend, please open an “Other” ticket after filling in your whitelist (BEFORE JOINING) so we can move you to the appropriate server if needed. Please specify the name of your friend's home server. We are not able to transfer players if they fail to notify us, please note it may take a moment to process your request as this is manual. |

| No Permanent Structures in Certain Worlds |
Players should not build permanent structures in the End, Nether, or Resource World. These worlds undergo regular resets. |
|
| General Build Rules |
All builds must be appropriate and SFW. You should follow the server’s Animal Welfare Guidelines regardless of facility ownership. |
|
| No Trespassing |
Do not enter a players claim under any circumstance unless it is a public warp (eg. facility) or the owner of the property has given you permission. This is including expired claims. The owner of the property allowing you to teleport does not give you indefinite access to their areas. |
|
| How Do Claims Work? |
We use the Open Parties and Claims (OPAC) mod so players can customize their spaces. Default players have 600 chunk claims (increased via rank purchase). We recommend viewing tutorials (like OPAC claims) before asking questions. (Additional claim chunks are a convenience feature for organizing builds and clarifying ownership. All players are protected by our no-griefing rules regardless of claims. We have no regulations on unclaimed areas and will not remove builds or structures that are not inside of a claim.)

| How Do I Build a Facility? |
More information about facilities can be found on the website under the facility tab: https://canterlands.com/facilities. |
|
| Building With Friends / Joint Facilities |
You may build with friends to create houses, businesses, and facilities (note: usually only one person can be registered as co-owner). Please note that you may only house a maximum of 16 (by default) animals of each type per 12 chunk radius. This means a maximum of 16 pigs, 16 cows, etc within a 12 chunk radius from their location. Additional animals may be housed at least 12 chunks away. Combined storage is allowed if chests are clearly labelled with usernames to avoid staff flagging for over-storage. |

| World Border |
It is not recommended to build near the world border, this spans approximately 30,000 x 30,000 on each home server (with the exception of Bluewater Bay), you will not be able to expand past the world border. We are not responsible for any assets lost due to the World Border, please note you may take damage near it. |
